Lupe Bensonhurst is a former movie starlet turned social activist. After retiring from a successful career in film, Ms. Bensonhurst dedicated her time to making the plight of Latvian orphans known to the world. For her efforts she was honoured with the Victoria Cross and Belgium's Croix de Guerre.

Her biography A Kiss in the Dreamhouse was an instant bestseller in several countries and is soon to be made into a motion picture.

Lupe Bensonhurst is probably best remembered for her role as Ms. Funcock in all seven of the Edmund Chatham Mysteries, and more recently as the host of All Things Deserved.

Ms. Bensonhurst lives in America with her two nephews.
